Small business system options


Option 1: Direct IP phones/devices
This is where you use new "Smart" IP phones, ATAs (adatpers in to which you can plug ordinary analogue handsets), or softphones (PC phones).  These devices are designed specifically to be used with VoIP service. This option is perfect for new businesses, or businesses wanting to replace their ageing PABX phone system.  

IMPORTANT: With this setup you still get all the usual PABX type features such as unique extensions, transferring, and more (mp3 music on hold, time-based call forwarding plus more.  See Features for details).  The prices for the different devices are as follows:

Linksys SPA942 Smart IP phone - $350 ea (discount for multiple qtys)
Netcomm V220 dual-port ATA - $220 (you can run two analogue extensions/handsets from one of these)
X-lite Softphone (PC phone) - FREE (Note: you will need a PC headset to use this).

When setting up a business using the Direct IP system, you could use any combination of the above devices. Prices include conifguration, support and freight (where applicable) of each device.  In most cases the devices are simply "Plug in and go".  In some cases, installation may be required on site by a technician.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Option 2: PABX-integration
This is where your existing PABX phone system is retained, and C-talk VoIP lines are "plumbed" into it using adapters, directly replacing the analogue lines formerly going into it.

The advantage of this setup is that you do not have to change your existing PABX system, and all phones/extensions/cabling etc remain just as it is, but you get the cost-savings advantage of using the C-talk VoIP technology.

The cost of integrating C-talk VoIP lines into your PABX varies, as each business situation can be different, and this installation needs to be done by a technician.  However this can often be done for between $300 and $600 dollars.  Please contact us to discuss your situation today.
